When eating less and exercising more is no longer working, and you’ve tried everything to lose weight without success, the reality is you likely have tanked your metabolism.

For years the fitness industry has promoted this type of lifestyle. The issue is that this ultimately will lead to some serious health issues. Not only will your body tend to burn sugar more than fat you risk developing thyroid disorders and adrenal fatigue.

Over exercising, specifically doing, high intensity exercises and under-eating does initially produce weight loss, but overtime these results become increasingly more difficult to maintain. This is when your body goes into “starvation” mode, with the goal of conserving energy. These “insane” workouts combined with under-eating puts added stress on your body, causing it to release cortisol.

Too much cortisol makes it hard for you to sleep and kills your energy levels. This lifestyle also reduces your thyroid hormone, tanking your metabolism & weight loss. High cortisol and low thyroid hormones is a recipe for low energy and weight gain.

So as you’ve come to realize, burning fat is not as simple as calories in less then calories burnt. It is also not as simple as spending hours over exercising in the gym. If you have been following these concepts and have not lost weight then your internal physiology needs a reset.

To accomplish this you first need to lower your total inflammation. Reducing inflammation (and thus stress) can be accomplished by consuming a clean diet that is high in nutrients. A fat burning diet should provide all the necessary building blocks your body requires for optimal health.

Yet, still clients come to be who have been eating “clean” and still are struggling to burn fat and stay lean. Unfortunately, for many eating “clean” is not enough for people who have tried everything with little to no success.

It’s for this reason I developed the Weight Loss on the Wild Side program – a unique 6-week program that includes a realistic, evidence based approach, to sustainable fat loss. My strategies are NOT quick fixes but aim to reset your metabolism and help you lose up to 5 lbs per week and stay lean for life.

Eating less and killing yourself by over exercising in the gym is not the answer. In fact this increases your perceived stress which causes more inflammation and makes matters worse!

The required fat-loss elements are:

  1. Strategically cycling carbohydrate & caloric intake. To download my FREE carbcycling & intermittent fasting guide click here.
  2. Consume the Right foods at the Right time for the Right reasons
  3. Eating adequate protein for lean muscle growth
  4. Exercising more intelligently
  5. Improving your bodies resiliency to stress

If any one of these key elements are missing you simply won’t get very far. However, when you have my 5 elements working for you, your body feels balanced and can switch to “burning” mode.  This reset of your metabolism is key to releasing fat more easily. Once this occurs you are able to break through stubborn plateaus, restore hormone balance, regain control of your cravings, and feel more energized and happier.

If you have been spinning your wheels, working out intensely for several hours per week, eating small meals several times a day; it is time to hop off the hamster wheel. Following my 5 elements to successful fat loss will help you shed weight around the midsection, increase your energy levels and stabilize your mood. Not to mention, your hormone levels and thyroid will thank you.

Here is what some of my clients who’ve followed this proven fat-burning diet formula are saying…

” I’m a mom of 2 so my schedule is typically very busy on a day-to-day basis. I really enjoyed it this diet because I was able to plan meals that were quick and easy and I could make them ahead of time and they fit into my schedule but also because the exercise was something that I was able to do at home and it didn’t take up much of my day. I found that I learned a lot about my nutrition. I’m now much more aware of what I’m buying at the grocery store and how to incorporate healthy foods into my meals so that they are more balanced. At first I was a little intimidated with all the talk about macros and carb counting, but this diet has made it very easy and simple to keep on track. I’m definitely going to keep up.” – Jennie

“I learned so much while doing the Weight Loss on the Wild Side. I was unable to complete it but for completely awesome reasons; I had a dress to fit into and couldn’t afford to lose anymore weight!!! That never happens! Breanne Kallonen’s program is very difficult to get into when you aren’t a naturally healthy person, however losing 2 inches on my waist after the first three weeks made it worth the effort. I will definitely be taking what I learned and applying it to my life throughout the year to help lose weight when necessary and will be taking elements learned from the exercise plan to work out three times a week to continue building my muscle. It is hard work, but the results are evident.”– Alison

“For a year I have been working with a personal coach to the best version of myself but not specifically for reaching my ideal body weight. She just recently advised that I find a complete program and ask for help. I had a fairly good understanding of nutrition and exercise but Breanne’s program has already helped me so much! By having someone to hold my hand, give me a step by step plan, hold me accountable AND encourage me, I am truly NOW on my way to becoming my best ME! Thank you, thank you , THANK YOU❤️!!”– Lorrie

“Breanne, I am truly thankful for so many aspects of my experience with you, that I really don’t know where to begin….So I will start with the part, that I am most excited about… MY RESULTS! I am no longer looking for quick fixes; I am looking for sustainable changes to my health:) meeting with you on a regular basis, helps me to reflect on my health and habits more frequently, so that I can move to a better place:) You have been instrumental in leading me, on this journey back to health and wellness. While this journey is mine and takes commitment and effort on my part, your wisdom, encouragement and understanding, is paramount to my success. In all the years of visits to traditional Doctors, I have never felt better than I do today. You have taught me how to make better choices, when it comes to nutrition and stress management, as well as how to recognize imbalances before they overtake my health. I appreciate your advice, reading material, food suggestions, supplements and an open ear. I sleep better, am developing skills to deal with stress, and notice the relationship between food and mood more than before. So Breanne! I want you know, You inspire me with your dedication and commitment to health and wellness. I appreciate how much you motivate me…building me up to become a better version of myself. Your support has made me stronger and I will forever be grateful. Once again, thank you so much for everything. This experience is great, the results are greater, and I would not hesitate to recommend your services to anyone in the future…You truly have a gift and Thank You!…for sharing it with me and others <3.”– Victoria

“Hey Bre – thought I should touch base with you. I really loved the program and, as you know, I want to continue following it somewhat over the Christmas season. Thought you’d like to hear a couple of things. First I’m still been losing weight which I’m happy about of course. I’m actually enjoying the exercises even though I’m not hardcore diligent on them these days. Perhaps the biggest thing to tell you is that after a weekend of Christmas baking, chicken wings and other “yummy” things I actually felt so sick and my knee was sore again. That’s pretty good motivation for me to work at getting back on track! I have continued to log my food so that’s super helpful. Thanks for your work and encouragement.”– Sharon

“I have struggle for almost 2 years to lose weight and NOTHING I did helped and steadily was gaining weight. I had almost given up and thought I was on the road to obesity… until your fantastic program came into my life! My brother in law told me after 33 years of age you can’t lose weight or change your body. Boy is he wrong. I am a work in progress but I am so committed to making a lifestyle change. Your support is truly amazing as well! You have so much on your plate yet you remain so present for us all in this group! THANK YOU!”– Chenai

Fat-Burning & Metabolism Myths That Are Sabotaging Your Success

There is an overwhelming amount of “how to lose weight” information being forced upon you. Sadly, much of this information includes “quick fixes” or utter nonsense that is ineffective. Some of the information I read these days is even way out of date and potentially dangerous.

Have you ever been told that…
  • losing weight is as simple as eating less food and exercising more
  • you need to eat as soon you wake up to get your metabolism going
  • consuming 5-6 mini meals a day keeps will help you burn more calories and lose more weight
  • you need to preform intense cardio and burn a lot of calories
  • lifting weights will make you bulky
  • fasting will put your body into “starvation” mode and cause you to put on extra fat
  • you should be strictly focusing on counting calories

I am so sad when I hear my clients have been following these completely FALSE pieces of health advice. An effective fat burning lifestyle must address the underlying cause of the weight gain and provide you with a holistic plan that is scientifically supported by research. In order to optimize your health I believe in mastering the fundamentals – a solid nutrition plan, stress management, daily movement, and community.

And that’s what I am all about- giving you real, evidence based resources to empower you to achieve real results.
